A short background on what a magic engine is, according to wikipedia
Magic Engine is the first publicly-released TurboGrafx-16 emulator, developed by David Michel. It emulates the TurboGrafx-16, TurboGrafx-CD, Arcade Card, and SuperGrafx. Originally developed for DOS, it was later ported to Windows and Macintosh.
